We See The Individual Behind Every Smile, Every Story, Every Need

It’s not just about care – it’s about truly knowing each person, honouring their journey, and supporting their whole self – body, heart, mind and spirit.

Your Life, Your Way - Every Day

At CraigCare, we truly value each person for who they are. It’s all about the individual – the whole person.

We take the time to understand their life story, their culture, their beliefs, and what matters most to them.

Everyone comes to us with a rich history, shaped by community, home, and years of experience. And we honour that.

By really seeing and knowing each person, we can support them to keep doing the things they love and live with purpose.

That’s what quality of life means to us – helping each person continue to live a life that feels full and meaningful.

Community Fundraising Project

Spreading Kindness and Comfort to Rescue Animals

This March and April, we are coming together as a whole community – residents, families, friends, and our teams across all of our homes and Support Office – to support local animal rescue shelters.

With heartfelt donations, we’re helping these animals to feel safer, calmer, and loved while they await their forever homes.

Many arrive with nothing, and even small acts of kindness – a soft blanket, a comforting toy, or a special treat – can bring them the reassurance they so desperately need.

Community Givebacks

Our Community Came Together for Local Animal Rescue Shelters

Second Chance Animal Rescue said it better than we ever could:

“You’re wonderful humans! Please pass on our thanks to your generous donors – the gifts will be a tremendous help to the pets in our care.”

This March and April, our residents, families, friends, and teams across all of our homes and Support Office rallied together to donate supplies to local animal rescue shelters – helping animals feel safer, calmer, and loved while they await their forever homes.

The generosity of our community was overwhelming, and moments like these remind us why giving back matters. It’s who we are.

Voices Of Trust

Image of 5 golden stars

“I am so thankful and happy my husband is cared for here. Every staff member is kind, supportive and cheerful. The care of Ken has been beyond expectation. It is a hard adjustment after 50 years of marriage to be separated. Ken was no longer safe at home.

The adjustment has been made so much easier because of the caring staff at CraigCare. They are also very supportive of the family members, which added to my adjusting to handing my beloved husband into someone else’s care.

When visiting, I always feel welcomed by all staff. I feel at home, and enjoy getting to know the staff and the other residents. I am totally at ease knowing that Ken is cared for. Ken enjoys bus outings, shopping trips to Bunnings, gardening and helping in the Men’s shed, playing games, attending exercises, special morning and afternoon teas for occasions like Father’s Day and Easter.

I also enjoy having a meal with Ken in the dining room, usually once a week. The meals are presented so beautifully and so very tasty. Great variety and very nutritious – restaurant standard meals.

I would not wish for Ken to be at any other aged care home. He is living at the best!! Thank you every single one of the staff members for your care, given with love and fun.”

Frequently Asked Questions

For entry into our CraigCare homes you will need:

  • Approval for Residential Aged Care (permanent care or high-level respite). If you do not have approvals in place please contact My Aged Care to request an ACAT assessment
  • Completed CraigCare Admission forms
  • Outcome of your Income and Assets Assessment (permanent care only)
  • Copy of Enduring Power of Attorney
  • Signed copy of the Residential Aged Care Agreement

Our friendly Admissions team are happy to talk you through each of these steps and support you all the way.

An ACAT assessment is your way to access aged care support.

It is used to determine your eligibility for funding and to decide what level of care you require based on your circumstances and support needs.

For some, the paperwork required for completion can feel confusing, overwhelming and sometimes stressful.

At CraigCare, our team are here to help you every step of the way.

We will support you in completing the necessary paperwork so you can focus on an easy move into our homes and spend quality time with your loved one.

We strongly encourage residents to personalise their rooms as much as possible to make it feel like home.

We provide an electric bed, bedside table and chair.

We encourage you to bring you own special possessions and photo frames for hanging to personalise your room.

Larger items are welcome as long as they do not present a safety issue. This can be discussed prior to your move in day.

No. We fully support “Ageing in Place” where the level of care provided changes as your care needs change.

Decisions about where you will live within the home will prioritise your wellbeing, protection and safety and take into account our ability to provide you with the best possible care.

There may be times when we will need to reassess where you live within the home to ensure we meet these priorities. A comprehensive and individualised care plan will be created upon arrival to our home and is regularly updated depending on your care needs.

At CraigCare some of our aged care fees may be negotiable.

Talk to us about your Refundable Accommodation Deposit and our Extra Service Fees and we will find a solution that best meets your care needs and financial situation.

The Basic Daily Care Fee and Means Tested Care Fee are non-negotiable as these fees are established by Commonwealth Department of Health.

Absolutely yes. This is your home.

We ask you to speak with our care staff regarding when you will be leaving for the day so we are aware of your movements and are able to assist you in whatever you need (e.g. providing you with any required medication, help with arranging transport or a packed lunch).
