A service built on a home-like environment and strong connections.
CraigCare has been one of Australia’s most established and trusted aged care providers for over 40 years. We pride ourselves on making sure our residents feel right at home and continue to be connected to the broader local community, as they have always been.
We understand that most people who are considering a residential aged care for their loved one are doing so as there has been a significant decline in health or there is concern over the safety of your loved one continuing to live at home. There is also a sense of fear of your loved one having to live in an institutionalised fashion, detached from the connections they have always lived their best life through.
At CraigCare, we do absolutely everything possible to make sure our care communities feel as close to home as possible. We do this is through forming and maintaining a strong sense of connection – connection to the right medical team, connection to family and friends, connection to staff, connection to nature, and connection to the local community. We respect your privacy and individuality, and we encourage you to make your room you own comfortable space.
As your loved one’s ageing journey advances, you will have peace of mind knowing we’ll be right there, supporting you and your loved one through every stage, with access to our clinical expertise inclusive of dementia and palliative care services, and ongoing lifestyle support.
Integrating the care for our residents and their family with our staff and the community.
To care for our residents in a manner which enhances their quality of life within the community that they belong. We achieve this by providing the highest standard of age care at all times which is delivered with honesty, warmth and respect.
- Respect – Treating others as you would want to be treated
- Kindness – Delivering care with decency and compassion
- Individuality – Treating each resident uniquely
- Joy – Bringing fun and happiness to the lives of our residents and their family
- Relationships and Communities – Developing strong meaningful connections with our residents and their family, and the local community
These are not just words to us. They are the inherent values we live by each day, the values that drive everything we do for our residents in our aged care communities and their families.
The CraigCare team are well known to the community for their kindness, compassion and big hearts. They treat your loved one as if they were part of their own family. Our staff are carefully selected and we invest in keeping them happy. As a result, they tend to stay a long time. This benefits our residents and their families by allowing them to develop strong, long-term bonds with their carers.

Protection of the Aged Care Act
CraigCare operates strictly within the rules of the Aged Care Act, 1997. This Act was designed by the Commonwealth Government to protect the health, safety, wellbeing and interests of residents. The Act sets fees and charges and protects residents’ funds.
When we first had to bring my father into aged care we looked at five nursing homes in our area. Craigcare Plumpton Villa was by far the best option. Craigcare Plumpton Villa has a wonderful homely feel the second you walk in the door, and we have always felt welcome. When it came to choosing a home for Mum we didn’t hesitate to contact Craigcare. She’s very well looked after here, the staff are always attentive to her needs and are so compassionate in how they go about their jobs. Initially Mum was quite sad at the thought of moving into a residential aged care facility, but since making the Craigcare community her home, she has been put completely at ease. She loves being able to walk around and stop for a chat whenever she wants to, she has been able to make new connections and continue to socialise.
Craigcare has become our home now and we are very happy here. We have made a lot of new friends among the residents and the staff and management have become like our extended family. We cannot speak highly enough of the care we get from the medical and care staff. The dining experience offers a first class menu and if we don’t want a certain meal, we just ask the kitchen staff and they will oblige us and serve an alternative. The activities team are very good with organising various things to do, like outings and ‘special celebration days’ and other various activities where we can all keep our minds active and have a lot of fun. We are 100% satisfied and thank everyone on the staff and management for the care they give to everyone.
I am so very happy that I made the choice to become a resident within the Craigcare Pascoe Vale community. Jan has always been professional and courteous, and was very welcoming when I came to the facility after my hip operation. The nursing and caring staff serve all the residents with attentiveness and love. The gardens are so well looked after, they are the perfect place for residents to enjoy morning walks, and to catch up with visiting friends, but also with new friends from the Craigcare community. There is always something going on at Craigcare Pascoe Vale, thanks to the amazing Lifestyle team, who keep family and friends informed of all upcoming events so that everyone can join in the fun. With events ranging from bingo and happy hours, to New Years and Cup Day, the lounge is always a hive of activity with residents and families.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Craigcare for the fantastic care of my Aunt, Hilda Blackmore over the last 4 ½ years. The care, friendship and commitment by the staff at Berwick can only be described as outstanding. From the moment I stepped through the door I was always greeted with smiles, greetings and when required, hugs. My Aunt had a short period of time where she had been diagnosed with Bowel cancer, where she became eventually bedridden and unable to communicate for 6 days prior to her passing. During this time my Aunt’s welfare was Number 1 priority for the staff and the support, care and information for myself and my family was extraordinary, to the point that I felt she was surrounded by family. The staff included everyone from the manager Kitty, who was never too busy, to reception, Nurses, assistants, cleaners and kitchen staff, totally everyone. I was there for long hours and experienced all of the workers over the 6 days on all shifts, I cannot speak more highly of anyone than Craigcare Berwick. A special thanks to Melissa Riley, who has since moved to another branch, for her kindness when my Aunt first joined. I wish everyone well and hope that they get recognition for the exceptional work that they do.
