It’s No Secret That Good Food Goes Hand In Hand With Good Health & Well-Being

That’s why food is both a focus and a celebration at CraigCare. Our seasonal menus are designed by our chefs, food experts, residents and families.

Enjoy Our Delicious Home-Cooked Meals Using The Freshest Ingredients

All meals are freshly prepared onsite in our fully equipped commercial kitchens, in accordance with Australian Aged Care Menu Standards and Dietitians Australia.

Our qualified Chefs and catering team are dedicated to serving high quality meals that combine great presentation, colour, flavour, texture and aroma.

We use only A-grade fresh produce.

We offer residents a wide choice of options throughout each day across breakfast, lunch and dinner service, and all mid-meal snacks. These options may include buffet continental breakfasts, regular cooked breakfasts, a choice of up to five menu options for both lunch and dinner, and 24-hour snacks (which may vary depending on the home).

Residents can choose not only what they would like to eat from our menu, but also what time and where they would like to dine. We warmly welcome families and friends to enjoy a family dinner in our homes for a nominal cost.

Individualised Meal Plans Are Provided For All Specific Dietary Requirements

When it comes to our menu planning, individualised meal plans are provided for all specific dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, gluten and lactose intolerance). We cater for all forms of texture modified meals, based on the recommendations of our speech pathologists. Our catering team is fully trained in the preparation and serving of all meals in accordance with the International Diet Dysphasia Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI).

All menus are developed in close consultation with our in-house dietitian to ensure they are of the highest nutritional standard.

We ensure our catering service meets the culturally specific needs of our residents. For example, in our Plumpton Villa home, several residents are of Italian background; hence the additional pasta choices provided for their main meals.

Our residents and families play a big part in menu development. Each home conducts regular food focus groups where residents and families are invited to provide input for our meal and menu development. We also welcome and encourage feedback at any time. Tell us what your favourite meals are, or share your favourite recipes with us, and we will do our best to incorporate these into our ever-changing menu.

Each homes displays the four-week menu and the daily menu in each dining room for residents to view.
