A Meaningful Farm Experience for Residents

A Heartfelt Morning at Volunteer Jane’s Farm

We recently had the privilege of taking our residents on a very special outing to Volunteer Jane’s beautiful farm, where the warmth of her hospitality and the charm of the countryside made for a truly memorable experience. Jane, who is the daughter-in-law of our resident Alice, kindly opened her doors and shared her serene home with us, creating a day filled with joy and connection.

After a warm welcome, the group spent time wandering through Jane’s peaceful garden, soaking in the natural beauty all around them. The highlight for many was when Michael got to hold one of Jane’s chickens—a simple but unforgettable moment that brought a huge smile to his face and reminded us all of the pure delight that animals can bring.

We are so grateful to Jane for her kindness and generosity in making this day possible. It was more than just a visit- it was an opportunity for our residents to connect with nature, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company in a beautiful setting.

A heartfelt thank you to Jane for giving our residents such a special experience. We look forward to more days like this, where the beauty of the moment and the kindness of others come together to create lasting memories.
