Building Friendships Across Generations

Older residents and students sharing tea, homemade treats and conversation during an intergenerational visit at Pascoe Vale Girls College.

There is something truly special about bringing different generations together, and our recent visit to Pascoe Vale Girls College was a wonderful reminder of the joy these connections can create.

Our residents were warmly welcomed by the students, who delighted everyone with a delicious homemade treat of freshly baked jam drops. Over a cup of tea, conversations flowed easily as stories were shared, favourite recipes exchanged, and plenty of laughter filled the room.

These intergenerational visits are about so much more than spending time together. They provide an opportunity for young and old to learn from one another, celebrate shared traditions, and create meaningful friendships that enrich the lives of everyone involved.

A heartfelt thank you to the students and staff at Pascoe Vale Girls College for your kindness, hospitality, and for making our residents feel so welcome. We are already looking forward to our next visit and the many special memories still to come.
