At Plumpton Villa, we love celebrating the many cultures, traditions and stories that make our community so wonderfully diverse.
Recently, our residents came together to celebrate Indian Independence Day with a morning filled with music, dance, history and delicious traditional treats.
Our very own Mus delighted everyone with a special Indian dance performance, bringing plenty of energy and joy to the celebration. Residents also enjoyed sampling a selection of traditional Indian sweets.
We were privileged to hear from our resident, Melville, who shared fascinating history and insights about Indian Independence Day. His stories provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn more about the significance of the occasion and appreciate the rich culture and history behind the celebration.
It was a beautiful morning of sharing, learning and connection – celebrating not only Indian culture, but the diversity and stories that make our Plumpton Villa community so special.
