The hobbies and interests we enjoy throughout life are part of who we are, bringing purpose, joy and a sense of familiarity wherever we call home.
For retired lower primary school teacher Marta, nurturing young minds was a lifelong passion. After retiring, she found a new way to create special memories with her grandchildren by introducing them to jigsaw puzzles. What started as a fun activity together soon became a cherished family tradition, with puzzles growing from simple designs to impressive 1,000 to 5,000-piece challenges.
Today, Marta continues to enjoy her favourite pastime at CraigCare Pascoe Vale, where she has a special spot in the main lounge to work on her puzzles.
At CraigCare, we love supporting residents to keep doing the things that make them feel like themselves, because every moment spent enjoying a lifelong passion is a moment worth celebrating.
