The CraigCare Dream Team

Ryan RodriguesCongratulations to our Clinical Governance Manager, Ryan Rodrigues, who recently won the state Leading Aged Services Australia (LASA) employee award for the whole of Victoria/Tasmania. This award was in recognition of the work Ryan undertook in developing our national End of Life Trajectory Tool which takes palliative care to a whole new standard of care and experience for the resident and their families.

This innovative tool identifies the physical, emotional, mental and clinical presentation of each resident. It provides clinicians with clear directives of stipulating the advanced care planning strategies to support residents in alignment with their palliative trajectory and ensures choices and goals of residents is paramount. The tool also empowers clinical staff in making decisions for residents that are supportive of outcomes that promote quality of life.  Nursing staff often focus on improving clinical outcomes whereas this may not be the focus of the resident and their family due to their palliative trajectory.

Congratulations also to our Lifestyle Team from CraigCare Maylands who were a WA state finalist for the LASA team award. Everyday our lifestyle team embrace each and every resident, recognise and celebrate them thereby making their experience at our homes extraordinary.Lifestyle Team from CraigCare Maylands
